Valeo Futbol Club Displays Dominance at IBER Cup Barcelona

July 16, Valeo Futbol Club return from Barcelona, Spain champions of the 2002 age group, at the 2018 IBER Cup Tournament.

Out of the four Valeo’s teams competing in the international tournament, all of them made it out of the group stage.

The teams competing were as follows:

  • Valeo 2002’s
  • Valeo 2003’s
  • Valeo 2004’s
  • Valeo 2005’s


The Valeo 2002 team went 8-0 to win the IBER CUP in Barcelona. The Valeo 2002 Team led by Valeo Technical Director and Coach, Corlton G. Simmond went undefeated and advanced to the championship. Valeo faced off against FC INFESTA of Portugal. The final score of the game was 3-1, Valeo victorious.

The Valeo FC 2003 team went 5-1 during group play to finish first in their division. Unfortunately, they fell to the eventual champions Pevidem FC of Portugal in the semi-final. It was a well-played match with Valeo creating many chances but unable to break the defensive line of Pevidem. The final score was 1-0.

The Valeo FC 2004 team reached the quarter-final stage of the Iber Cup Barcelona recording 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss in the group stage. The quarter final was a close contest but Valeo eventually lost 2-0.

The Valeo FC 2005 team finished second in their group to earn a birth to the quarter-finals. The 2005 age group was particularly strong. The eventual winner of this age group was Recife of Brazil.
