Valeo Exhibits Excellence at Seacoast United Premier Invitational/Galway Cup

            On the weekend of March 16th, Valeo F.C. competed in several tournaments. All Valeo teams excelled on the pitch at both the Seacoast United Premier Invitational held at Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping, NH. and in the Galway Cup, at the Cohasset Sports Complex in Cohasset, MA. Three teams competed in the Galway Cup and six teams competed in the Seacoast Tournament, all of them advanced to the finals.

Seacoast Tournament Results:

Valeo F.C. South 07’ went undefeated winning all three of their preliminary games to advance to the finals. Valeo F.C. South 07’ went on to face GPS NH 07’ in the finals. Valeo F.C. left as champions beating GPS 2 – 0.

Valeo F.C. South East 07’ displayed dominance in their four tournament games. They outscored their opponents in their bracket 14 – 2. They finished the tournament as champions, defeating the host team Seacoast United 6 – 1 in the championship game.

Valeo F.C. Boca Juniors 09’ and Valeo F.C. South East competed in the same U-10 division. Both teams would go on to win their bracket by going undefeated (3 – 0 – 0). Eventually, the two Valeo F.C. teams would meet in the finals. The game was a nail biter, ending in a 1 – 1 draw in regular time. The VFC Boca Juniors would go on to beat VFC South East 5 – 4 in a penalty shootout to be crowned champions.

Valeo F.C. South East 09’ and Valeo F.C. Tigre 09’ also competed in the same division, in different brackets. Both Valeo F.C. teams went undefeated in their bracket to advance to the finals, where they would face each other. Both teams were evenly matched and nothing separated them after regular time. The game finished 2 – 2. Valeo F.C. South East would become champions after finishing it out strong in a 5 – 4 penalty shootout.

Valeo F.C. Barcelona 10’ and Valeo F.C. South East 10’ competed against each other in the same division. Both teams finished the preliminary round mid-table. This forced both Valeo F.C. teams to go head to head in a playoff round to make it to the finals. Valeo F.C. Barcelona 10’ won the playoff game sending them to the finals, which they went on to win 3 – 1 over NEFC.
